FAQ

  • Preconception care is most effective when started at least 3 months before trying to conceive, but earlier planning is beneficial, especially for those using assisted reproduction, managing reproductive health conditions, or navigating legal family-building structures.

    • Frozen Donor Sperm: The average monthly success rate of IUI with frozen donor sperm is 10–20% per cycle, meaning multiple attempts may be needed. Preparing your body and tracking cycles ahead of time can improve timing and outcomes.

    • PCOS & Irregular Cycles: People with PCOS or irregular menstrual cycles may experience delayed ovulation or require cycle regulation support before conception, which can take several months.

    • Legal & Family-Building Considerations: LGBTQ+ individuals and those pursuing co-parenting agreements, known donors, or second-parent adoptions may need additional time for legal paperwork and consultations.

Even if pregnancy is a year or more away, starting preconception care now allows time for hormonal balance, cycle optimization, fertility preservation, and lifestyle changes that improve long-term reproductive health.

  • We offer 24/7 on-call IUI services in-home within a 30 minute commute of Renton, WA. Outside of this range, our IUIs are done in-office.

  • Functional medicine is a root-cause, whole-body approach to health that focuses on identifying and addressing underlying imbalances rather than just treating symptoms. In fertility care, this means optimizing the body's natural ability to conceive by supporting hormonal balance, cycle regulation, gut health, and overall wellness.

At Village Fertility, we use functional medicine principles to:

    • Assess fertility health holistically through lab testing, cycle tracking, and lifestyle factors.

    • Support hormone balance for those with PCOS, irregular cycles, thyroid conditions, or unexplained infertility.

    • Address nutrient deficiencies that impact conception and early pregnancy.

    • Provide personalized nutrition and supplement plans to improve egg and sperm quality.

    • Offer preconception detoxification guidance to reduce environmental toxin exposure.

Whether preparing for conception, navigating assisted reproduction (IUI/IVF), or seeking fertility preservation, functional medicine provides an integrative, patient-centered approach to improving reproductive health.

  • We offer on-call 24/7 cycle tracking support and feedback for folx planning their own conception attempts either with partnered intercourse or intrcervical insemination. We also offer a self-paced cycle tracking course that can be accessed here.

  • Any lab testing or ultrasound referrals we provide are billed to your insurance; you are responsible for any co-pays within your plan.

We are an out-of-network provider and can provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. We gladly accept FSA/HSA cards for payment, and if needed, we offer custom payment plans to ensure our services remain accessible.

  • Acupressure therapy is a gentle, needle-free practice that involves applying light pressure to specific points on the body to support circulation, hormone balance, and overall well-being. It is based on principles of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and can help with stress reduction, fertility support, pregnancy discomfort, and postpartum recovery.

At Village Fertility, acupressure therapy includes:

    • Manual pressure techniques to stimulate energy flow.

    • Acu-seeds (small adhesive beads placed on pressure points for continuous support).

    • Moxibustion (gentle heat therapy using dried mugwort).

    • Essential oils and light massage for relaxation and balance.

Acupressure is safe for preconception, fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum care, offering a holistic way to enhance the body’s natural rhythms.
